The Phaeton is a white tropical bird which you can see in most Mauritian places, at the beach and at the mountains.

Long ago, while seeing the Phaeton in the sky, kids would say "Paille en queue, donn moi enn ti pwason" meaning "Phaeton, give me a little fish" . 

Auparavant, quand les enfants voyais "les pailles en queue", Ils disait "Paille en queue donne moi un petit poisson."  Ils le disaient en se frotant les ongles pour faire un voeux.

Ce modèle represent bien cet petite tradition d'autrefois.
